Ford four-door sedan, 1950. We saw this at a gas station convenience store in Medford, Taylor County. A young guy pulled up, went in and got a sandwich, and then pulled away. While on the run, he told me she was a 1950 Ford and ran like a kitten. Looks like he's working slowly but surely to restore her. Fords looked nearly identical during the 1949-1951 model years, but major improvements were made underneath. November 9, 2005.
Oldsmobile Sedan Classic, 1934. This is your grandfather's Oldsmobile. She's owned by Glen Schirmer, who also owns Glen-ray Radiators on North 6th Street in Wausau. Glen told us he's had her for around 10 years. You can see his blue Wisconsin Collector License Plate is number "6B," meaning he was the sixth person in the state to register his car as a collector. Glen said his wife bought it for him. One of these days, we're going to stop by and chat with Glen, as he says there's some real history behind this beauty. November 4, 2005.
