MGA, 1958

This is the first foreign classic I have shown. That's because I owned three MGBs and have great affection for them, a real soft spot in my heart. This is an MGA, Wisconsin plates. I saw her on the highway at a parking rest stop. Talked to the owner a bit. He said he has converted most of it to MGB equipment inside and underneath. She was sure a beauty.

Back in the late 60s-70s, word on the street had it that the British were among the only people in the world who could make a good 4-cylinder engine. I believed it. It's a crying shame MG couldn't compete in the later years and had to give up.
