A stock Jimny with new bumpercorners, bull bar, fog lights and a crome door handle.

A stock blue one..

...a stock red/black one...

...and a stock green/black one. In some places this model with its unpainted black plastic details is sold as the "Country" model.

The interior

I thought this was the 2005 model. But it wasn't. Ads who is a member at the Forum tells me:
"Its actually the short-track 660cc turbo model, not diesel. Notice the shorter axles under the body with no wider fender flares. They do something like 48Kw of power, but are much lighter. The bonnet scoop is for the small, top-mounted intercooler. This model has been for sale in Japan for many years now and is not available in many places outside Japan."

In August 2005 this upgraded Z-series version was launched in Austraila. I think the new front bumper is a real improvement.

...and here's the interior of the same car. Note that the stereo and ventilation control unit has changed places. And the
ventilation controls has a new look.

The color makes a difference. I don't think the red and grey is the best one...

Maybe the graphite grey is better...

...or this dark green one is?

Champagne colored

...or a dark green & silver

The black one still looks the very good...

...as well as the blue one. Imaginge this car with black sun protective film at the windows. It would look great!

A nice looking interior.

A close up of the heater control panel and the full size radio. Note; Button controlled 4WD.

From the Netherlands. A black bull bar, fog lights, alloy rims, crome grill, new bumper corners with turning lights, a sun shield and more. I think this is the best looking street Jimny so far.

Here's another good looking Jimny from the Netherlands. As you can see it's all black and crome. Looks neat I think.

This is Mark's Soft Top Jimny. It looks a lot like the one above but I think Mark got the better looking foot steps.

The third from the Netherlands. The Jimny looks well in all black. With black sun shield on the windows it would look even better. Note that the roof rails are missing.

And here's a Jimny Picup Truck! or Jimny UTE as they call'em i Australia. Part from the crome bull bar, shortend body and longer wheel base I cant see what they've done whith it. J It's just soo cool, mate. Well done!

Here's a white one. ARB bull bar, standard short wheel base and a snorkel.

A 5-door Jimny! I know the Jimny got potential, but making it to a stretch limo is just too much. I'm speachless... And note the exclusive luggage. Is this the car made for the guys that can't afford a Hummer or what?

A 2005 Jimny with a higher roof. Should be practical, I mean the car is a bit small as it is. So why not an elevated roof? The extra roof window completes it. Looks pretty neat, I think.

Body lifted, bigger wheels, better suspension and much more. This one belongs in Singapore. Note the air deflector at the front of the bonnet keeping the bugs away from the windshield.

Suzuki got an assembly plant in Colombia and another one in Venezuela. The cars are sold in Latin America under the Chevrolet brand. I think I’ll modify mine… J

Here's Carlos Chevrolet Jimny from Colombia.

Here's a 1.5 liter 65hp DDIS. Yes it's a diesel! With some tuning one can get 90 hp out of it. It should be a rocket. J

Wind deflector at the drivers window, yellow mudflaps and ...

... a ladder on the rear door! I don't know if it's useful or practical but it sure looks cool. You'll find it at the Apio website.

Here's the link to a translated site:

A front bumper from ARB, a heavy duty skid plate, chrome rims, side bars and a roof rack.

This is Sax from Italy going down a hole...

And a roof rack on a 2005 diesel.

My Jimny. At the moment function is a priority.

A future Jimny might look like this. I'm not sure it's all good looking. I think the computers got a bit too far this time...

Why do the show a car that's shaped like a soap? Suzuki sure shows they ain't afraid of dramatic design.

Note the unfolded foot step!

The interior looks retro. A modern car that's been influenced by the 50's. This dash board could fit in an old Chevy. And what's the blue thing in the middle? It looks like it could it be a holographic TV screen from Startrek...

Roof made of glass and a gear leaver that looks like a rocket.

And finally here's two good looking Vitara Fatboy's from Suzi-Q in the UK. Check out their website for more info. As far as I know they don't have a complete Fatboy kit for the Jimny. But the bull bar and the sidesteps should fit a Jimny too.

What makes a good looking Jimny?

I like my Jimny to be good looking. I don't use it in the woods or off-road other then by accident.

When I seartch the net for pictures I find modified cars so ugly they take my breath away. But these guys didn't think of looks. For them function is a priority when they modified their cars.

The Jimny is small and tiny. It's something feminine about it that I can't put my finger on. But yet - if you modify it well it suddenly gets more of a male character.

Now imagine you start using a dull white Jimny like mine.

Just by adding some paint to the body panels makes a big difference.

...like this...

...or like these ones.

Then add som extras

...like a heavt duty front bull bar

...some side steps

...and chrome spoke rims

...and you get somthing like this. Admit it's an improvement!

And now when we are at it let's do the rest of the car...

...beginning with the interior. Wood panels and an arm rest does it.

Add a chrome grille

Chrome mirrors

Chrome door handles

Mudflaps

Wind deflectors

A chrome protector plate

A chrome list

Rear door wind spoiler

A chrome tail pipe

A chrome tail bar

A rear ladder by Apio

...and you get something that almost looks like this. That ain't to bad is it?

Now you got an idea of how I want my car to look one day. I think I'll give Santa a phone call...
